Coming from a background as a carpet designer, Kate Garman is interested in all things involving fringe, the grid and repetition. During her MFA at Tyler School of Art, she explored ways in which to break down the grid by using repetitive symbols and marks referencing traditional textile techniques and patterns within the home. Currently Kate lives in Philadelphia, PA.
